Dermal Fillers - Turn back the years

Juvederm ®, Hydrafill ®, Restylane ®, Perlane ®

The products are dependent on the needs of each particular patient

What it is:

Some of the most popular include collagen based fillers, hyaluronic acid based fillers i.e. Restylane® and Juvederm ® , others include poly lactic acid based fillers and calcium hydroxylapatite fillers.
The medial and cosmetic industries are always developing new technologies and treatments, so new products are constantly being tested and made available, including dermal fillers.

Who is it for:

Anyone wishing to improve the exterior look of their skin temporarily by smoothing out wrinkles and by adding volume under the skin. Dermal fillers are used to soften and fill deep folds, creases, and cracks in the facial skin of those seeking an enhanced appearance.

Side effects:

It is very safe, though redness, bruising and swelling are common side effects. These will normalise within 1-2 days.

Pain levels:

Most people find relatively painless. Only a very fine needle is used. Techniques such as ice and the use of EMLA cream may be used if requested, though most rarely do. In some cases the use of a dental block may be requested.

Duration:

The effects of the treatments last around 6 months and vary with each patient and area treated - ask Dr Patel for your personalised assessment.
