Chemical Peel

Light peel:

This is an exfoliation type peel which removes the outer layer of skin and the dead cells giving you healthy looking skin that makes your skin glow. There is no recovery time. Procedure may be repeated weekly for 4-6 weeks to obtain a good result, then monthly maintenance.

Medium:

This removes both the epidermal and upper dermal layers. This is a deeper peel, which can be used to treat a number of skin problems. This requires your skin to be prepped prior to the peel. Can be repeated monthly until desired effect is achieved. The skin peels after day four with a recovery time of 7-10 days. This will eventually leave you with clear, firm, tighter fresh skin with a more youthful appearance.

Deep:

This peel extends deeper into the lower dermal layer of the skin. Usually involves a phenol peel. Recovery time can take a few months with results, which last for many years. Rarely required as similar results can be achieved with multiple medium depth peels associated with less down time.

Obagi Blue Peel:

The procedure is performed by Dr Patel, who has specialised training and experience with this highly effective peel.

This peel treatment helps get rid of blemishes, acne scars, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and sun damage. The effective non-surgical procedure improves the appearance and health of your skin. Using a low concentration of chemical trichlororoacetic acid (TCA) mixed with a special blue base the Obagi Blue Peel. The dead cells are replaced by healthier ones, allowing the skin's own clarity and tightness to resurface.

Procedure:

The Obagi Blue Skin Peel can be applied to the neck, chest, hands, back, arms and legs and is FDA approved to dramatically improve your complexion. It is a quick, relatively simple procedure that does not require usually require sedation. The treatment takes about 20 minutes, depending on your goals.

You may experience light swelling and your skin will begin to peel within 2 to 3 days. The peeling will continue over the next several days and should be healed in an average of 7 to 10 days. When your skin has completely finished peeling, you will immediately notice the dramatic results of your newly improved complexion. Your skin's appearance will continue to improve for the next 4 to 6 weeks, becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier and more youthful looking
